Collection: Plum trees
I grow a curated selection of standout plums of both European and Asian species. I've chosen these varieties for their exceptional flavour, their excellent reputation, and, for some, because they are self-fertile.
A note pollination: All the European plums I offer are self-fertile, and can pollinate each other. The Asian plums (Toka, Shiro, Burbank) can pollinate each other, and also cross-pollinate with North America's native plums (Prunus americana and Prunus nigra).
However, European and Asian plums cannot pollinate each other.
So for example, if your only plums are an Early Italian and a Shiro, you won't get much fruit, if any (unless you talk your neighbours into getting some compatible plum trees...). But you could get away with a standalone European plum... or a pair of Asian plums, or an Asian plum and a native plum, or a standalone Toka, which is self-fertile.
Tree grades: All our trees have had a strong season of growth and are high-quality, top-grade trees. All are sold bare root, while dormant. For more information see the General nursery information page.
